The tragic incident happened just hours after another hanging death was reported at Delta State University, raising questions and speculations among residents and officials.
However, Vicksburg Police Captain Curtis Judge confirmed that this is not related to the incident at Delta State University after police responded to a wooded area near Ameristar Casino around 1:30 p.m. Monday for a report of a male hanging.
Vicksburg Police are currently investigating the incident.
