Matthew Jung resigns after suspension for celebrating Charlie Kirk’s death
An Englewood Health hospital doctor named Dr. Matthew Jung recently resigned after he got suspended for allegedly “cheering” Kirk’s assassination last week. Witnesses stated that Jung made the remarks near the nurses’ station, just moments after the news about the assassination broke. When one of the nurses, Lexi Kuenzle, objected and questioned Jung over applauding someone’s death, Jung reportedly defended his comments.
The hospital has since released a statement saying:
“We have accepted the physician’s resignation.”
The hospital also clarified that they have not fired Kuenzle and that she will return to her regular shifts without losing pay.
Lexi was suspended without pay after speaking out Jung who celebrated the death of Charlie and the 33 year old nurse had filed a lawsuit in Bergen County Superior Court, claiming Englewood Health retaliated against her for challenging the surgeon’s remarks both at work and on social media.
