What Exactly Happened?
Earlier, reports surfaced revealing that a tragic shooting occurred in Minneapolis at Annunciation Catholic School, wherein a suspect, who opened the fire on children, that injured at least 17 and killed two kids, is identified as Robin Westman, formerly known as Robert Westman.
The suspect in the case, who reportedly took their own life, changed their legal name in 2019, through a deed poll and identified themselves as a female.
The Minneapolis Catholic school shooter was Robin Westman.
He was a biological male who identified as a transgender "woman."

Robin Westman’s Parents
As per media reports, Robin Westman mother, identified as Mary Grace Westman, served as a secretary at the same school, her 23-year-old child opened firing, for at least 5 years before calling it quits in 2021.
A Facebook post of the Church of the Annunciation, dated back to August 2021, honoured Mary Grace Westman’s retirement. The now-viral post reads, “On Sunday we honored Mary Grace Westman who is retiring from Annunciation.”
It further emphasized the compassion of the woman during the last five years at the school, and added that they will surely miss her presence, while asserting, “Congratulations on your retirement!”
As per local media, Robin’s mother tearfully answered a call of a reporter, however, at the time, she wasn’t aware her own child was the shooter behind the tragic incident.
While there’s not much information available about Robin’s father, however, online records reveals that James Westman, Robin’s father, owns a home in South Minneapolis, which is located a mile away from the church and school.
Was Robin Westman Transgender?
Although, at the time of writing this piece, we aren’t sure about the gender identity of the suspect behind the Annunciation Catholic School, however, various social media reports claim that Robin Westman who was a biological male was transgender.
Additionally, the rumours claim that Robin’s name change from Robert Paul Westman was acknowledged and approved by their parents, though, as of now, we don’t have any such information confirming whether Robin’s parents accepted the name change.

Meanwhile, a viral post featuring all these claims has taken over the internet, garnering as much as more than 121K views, 1.7K likes, over 100 comments.
Authorities are still investigating the exact motive behind the attack after they discovered a disturbing manifesto linked to Robin Westman. The suspect posted a chilling 20-minute video on YouTube just hours before the attack, showing someone flipping through a red notebook filled with handwritten notes and gun schematics. The video was accompanied by maniacal laughter and smoke from a joint and also featured images of multiple firearms labelled with sinister phrases like “for the children” and “kill Donald Trump.” While police are not sure about the motive, the manifesto and video reveal a psychotic obsession with mass shooters and violent ideology.
His a now-deleted YouTube channel with videos showing guns, a manifesto in Russian and English, and a church map has since gone viral. His content displayed extreme views, including pro-Russian, pro-Trans, pro-Communist, and anti-Trump, anti-Christian and anti-Semitic messages.
