The ongoing case has reportedly ignited national outrage, with officials confirming that they will pursue the death penalty.
Tyler Robinson’s motive behind the murder of Charlie Kirk
Officials have reportedly stated that Tyler Robinson’s motive behind the murder of Charlie Kirk stemmed from a deep resentment toward his views. Reports and chats revealed that he admitted that he had “had enough of his hatred” and planned the shooting. Prosecutors have also revealed how Robinson had become radicalized online and how he had started subscribing to far-left ideology. Tyler even wrote in one message, “Some hate can’t be negotiated out,” during one of his conversations with Twiggs. Authorities are now of the belief that this political animosity pushed Robinson to target Kirk during his campus event.
Tyler Robinson court hearing updates, charges, and allegations
Tyler Robinson recently appeared virtually in court wearing an anti-suicide vest, with Judge Tony Graf reading him seven charges, including aggravated murder, obstruction of justice, witness tampering, and more. Robinson notably showed no emotion as the judge explained the possibility of the death penalty, and the court scheduled his next hearing for September 29, 2025 when his trial will begin. Prosecutors have also emphasized that Robinson will remain in jail without bail until trial.
Utah County is working to assign a lawyer for Tyler owing to his inability to hire a private lawyer due to financial hardship.

Tyler Robinson’s messages with alleged lover and former roommate Lance Twiggs
Amidst the investigations, the text conversations between Tyler Robinson and his alleged lover and former roommate, Lance Twiggs, have become central. It was through their conversations that authorities managed to ascertain the motive behind the gruesome murder of Charlie Kirk. In one of the texts, Tyler wrote:
“I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out. If I am able to grab my rifle unseen, I will have left no evidence.”
Twiggs then asked why he had killed Kirk, to which Robinson allegedly replied:
“He had it coming. He deserved it.”
In another group chat message before his arrest, Robinson admitted:
“Hey guys, I have bad news for you all. It was me at UVU yesterday.”
Authorities have since confirmed Robinson told Twiggs to delete their conversations and to stay quiet. Social media users are now speculating whether Twiggs could also face charges, although prosecutors have not yet confirmed any action against him.
HOLY SH*T:
I put the alleged text exchange between Tyler Robinson and his transgender lover into Chat GPT and asked if it seemed real and genuine.
Chat GPT says the texts are "most likely fabricated," far too detailed, and too incriminating to be real…
