Within hours of the release, users on platforms like 4chan and Reddit started claiming that the individual was Skye Valadez, a Utah-based digital artist.

The FBI has released a series of images of a man as the alleged suspect in the recent Charlie Kirk shooting. Following the release of the images, internet sleuths went into a frenzy, with online investigators quickly zeroing in on Skye Valadez. Just hours after the release, Reddit threads and 4chan boards were filled with side-by-side comparisons of Valadez’s photos and the FBI’s images. Many users insisted that the resemblance was undeniable and fueled all kinds of speculation, including a disturbing SoundCloud track titled “Charlie Kirk Dead at 31” that Valadez allegedly uploaded weeks before the shooting.
Redditors quickly shared screenshots of the song and circulated it widely before it was eventually deleted. This further prompted the online theory that Valadez might have had prior knowledge of the attack. Social media users also pointed out how Valadez’s Facebook profile, which once had Salt Lake City listed as his home, later changed to the cryptic status “leave me alone.”
Investigations underway
The FBI, alongside several other state and local agencies, is currently digging into the case. According to reports, agents at the site later discovered a bolt-action rifle in nearby woods, believed to have been abandoned by the shooter. Authorities have collected and sent palm prints, shoe impressions, and other forensic traces to the FBI lab for analysis. Special Agent Robert Bohls stated the suspect in the FBI photos appears to be “college-aged” but declined to release further details. Meanwhile, the Utah Public Safety Commissioner ,Beau Maso,n emphasized that investigators are confident of identifying the individual but warned the public against spreading false leads.

Skye Valadez of Salt Lake City, Metro Area is one of the alleged suspects in the recent Charlie Kirk shooting, but aside from the online speculation around him, there is not much information available about him. According to netizens, Skye is a digital artist and independent musician, who reportedly maintained a modest following on SoundCloud and Facebook. Skye Valadez reportedly featured music that mostly included experimental tracks with dark and cryptic themes. Besides all of these scattered details, there is little to no verifiable information or statements to confirm his background.
4chan users found Skye Valadez’s Soundcloud account and claimed that the singer uploaded a song titled’ Charlie Kirk dead at 31′ weeks before the shooting took place. Some users claimed the song was uploaded in August 2025 by Skye Valadez, a Utah‑based musician and also claimed that Valadez’s SoundCloud profile originally listed Ogden, Utah, as the location and was later changed to “leave me alone” following Wednesday’s shooting.
On Skye Valadez’s Facebook account he reportedly left a cryptic message that read “Leave me alone”.
Skye has also been linked to an Omar Najera Jr. who graduated from Merit Prep Academy in Springville, Utah and who now goes to Utah Valley University. However, these are all speculations for now with nothing officially confirmed about the suspect’s identity.
