For context, earlier, a video from Greater Noida emerge, featuring age 28 Nikki Payala being beaten and burned alive by a man and a woman, allegedly her husband, and her mother-in-law. The horrible and heartbreaking video, which has sent shockwaves online, resulted in the locked down of their Noida-based home.
The family of the victim, Nikki, who was set ablaze by her husband and in-laws, claimed that she had been tortured since her marriage.

What Did the Viral Video Feature?
Earlier, social media platforms, especially X/Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, and Facebook, have been buzzing with a heart-breaking video of a woman being beaten, being dragged by her hairs and some kind of liquid being thrown onto her, and then being eventually burnt alive.
Another viral video that features her severely burnt, walking down a staircase and then instantly collapsing, has sparked a fury in netizens, as they are asking for the justice. The woman, who was rushed to a nearby hospital, succumbed to her burn injuries on Thursday night.

Where is Vipin Bhati Now?
After the video went viral of the horrible and gut-wrenching video, an incident that reportedly took place on Thursday night, the culprit Vipin Bhati, the husband of Niki Bhati of Greater Noida was arrested several hours later, on Saturday. The man was shot in his leg, as he allegedly attempted to flee. A video of him has now taken over the internet, featuring him casually lying down on a bed as he showed no remorse over burning his wife dead and saying “Husband and wife often fight,” while also remarking “he did nothing, she died on her own.”
As per the counts given by authorities, Vipin Bhati has been sent to a 14-day judicial custody.

What Exactly Happened?
As per media reports, Nikki Payala and her sister, Kanchan, both got married in a same house to Vipin Bhati and his brother Rohit Bhati, who were studying at the time of their marriage. Reports claim that, at the time of their marriage, Rohit was studying at ITI.
Following their marriage, Vipin started his own business of dishes, which he briefly did before quitting it for good. Instead of doing anything else, the man used to just chill around, while his wife, who was reportedly being assaulted everyday used to work to bring food to the table.

Nikki had opened her own beauty parlour in her in-law’s house with her parents funding it, however, her good-for-nothing husband used to beat her every day after she usually close the shop for the day. It is also alleged that once Vipin beat up a customer, and afterwards, Nikki shut down the parlour for good.

Additionally, various reports claim that Vipin wasn’t doing anything after quitting his dishes business and used to just beat up his wife daily. Reports claim that Vipin demanded a dowry of Rs.36 lakhs, as per the counts given by the victim’s father.
Some reports alleged that Nikki told her husband that she wants to re-open the parlour, which triggered an argument between the couple, and it escalated into verbal abuse to the scene of the viral moments everyone saw.
As of now, the authorities have apprehended 4 people, including Vipin Bhati, his mother, father, and brother, in connection with dowry, harassment, and a murder case.
