The memorial was set up following Kirk’s fatal shooting during an event at Utah Valley University on September 10.
Ryder Corral Accused of Destroying Charlie Kirk Memorial
Police in Phoenix, Arizona, recently identified and arrested 19-year-old Ryder Corral for destroying a Charlie Kirk memorial. According to witnesses, Corral approached the TPUSA headquarters, located near 48th Street and Beverly Road, before tearing into the community memorial, which was filled with flowers, candles, posters, and American flags left by supporters. Videos of the incident posted online showed Corral aggressively kicking items, pulling down tributes, and shouting before a man in a blue T-shirt proceeded to tackle him to the ground.
As several onlookers joined in to restrain him, they managed to pin him down before police officers who were already stationed nearby for traffic control stepped in and made an arrest. The confrontation unsurprisingly drew a large crowd, with some people yelling at Corral while others recorded the arrest. Bystanders later stated the suspect appeared agitated and made no attempt to flee before being subdued. Following the shocking incident, officers handcuffed him at the scene and walked him to a patrol car while the crowd of bystanders applauded.
