What Exactly Happened?
As aforesaid, earlier in South Carolina, the American comedian performed a satirical skit, where he used whiteface makeup to impersonate a stereotypical redneck.
The video of the skit was shared online, and it instantly drew everyone’s attention, garnering as much as more than 200 millions views. Although, the comedian also drew a widespread backlash and criticism for perpetuating racial stereotypes with his whiteface makeup.
The whiteface, as the look is being referred to, has even instigated a whole debate about whiteface versus blackface. Druski’s NASCAR-inspired look with the tan lines, different versions of tattoos, and more of the farmer kind of look took 7 hours for makeup artist Kaylee to do.
While the internet celebrity is surely receiving backlash and criticism for his look, which as per netizens, is igniting a stereotypical debate, meanwhile the one who did the makeover of the comedian is receiving praises from social media users. Who is Kaylee Kehne-Swisher?
While, there isn’t much personal information available about makeup artist Kaylee Kehne-Swisher who is behind Druski’s whiteface, however, as per her LinkedIn profile, she hails from Fayetteville, Georgia, U.S.
Kaylee Kehne-Swisher is an independent artist who works with the Local 798 union. She started in 2011, in high school, doing people’s makeup for homecoming, Halloween, prom, weddings but has now professionally been doing prosthetics for over a decade now.
In addition, Kehne-Swisher’s bio describes her as a professional makeup artist, who works in film, television, print, and events.
Swisher completed a Makeup Artistry Masters Diploma in 2011, from the Joe Blasco International School of Mekup Artistry.

Following the completion of her diploma, the artist went to Michael Davy Film and TV, and worked there as a lab assistant for four months. Later on, she went to Digital Juice in July 2013, and therein she worked for around five months as a makeup artist and talent coordinator.
In August 2013, she went to Ripley’s Entertainment Art Department, and worked there for almost 1 year 9 months, and since December 2014, Kehne-Swisher has been working as a freelance beauty and special effects make up artist.
