The speech took place at UCLA’s College of Letters and Science commencement ceremony during June 13-15.

What Did the Viral Video Feature?
In the 1 minute 14-second viral video, Han can be seen donning a black outfit and holding a file, appears to be her speech that she may have wrote to read it out loud. In her statement, the woman can be seen emphasizing that “Education, free speech, and democracy itself is being threatened by the very same institutions that claim to value it.”
“Excuse my language, but to that I say, fu** ICE and fu** the Trump administration,” Han said.
During her speech, a loud cheer and clapping can be heard in the background as she mentions that these institutions are threatening the free speech and education “In a country that only refuses to protect, but actively persecutes, scapegoats, and villainizes the indisputable backbone of immigrants who make America what it is.”

For the curious, the speech took place in a ceremony that held during June 13-15, 2025 at the University of California, Los Angeles’ College of Letters and Science. The video which has taken over social media platforms and sparked a widespread debate over Han’s speech and various came out to ask Han “to deport back to China,” has so far received more than 3 million views and over 6.3K comments.

Though, not much information is available about Jamie Han, however, reports claim that she is a first-generation immigrant communications graduate. Multiple social media posts on X/Twitter and Reddit claims that Han is a “Chinese-American,” actress, which is in fact true, as per her IMDb profile.
Jamie Han’s IMDb profile reveals that the woman is a Chinese-American actress, with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and Film, Television, & Digital Media from UCLA.
The Asian woman who is a former national ranked orator has appeared in movies like Euphoria, Goose Chase, Jane, Dead End, and Lovebug. Her Instagram account which goes by the name @jamiie.han, has garnered over 16.5K followers.
Jamie who is based in Los Angeles, California is a part of Creative Films Marketing at Walt Disney Studios as per her LinkedIn profile.
She graduated high school from Bernardo Heights Middle School in San Diego and was a part of the UCLA Film Department.
