For the unsure, earlier reports emerged revealing that an alleged Indian origin driver was involved in a truck accident in Florida, that claimed at least three lives. The fatal accident occurred after the driver of the truck took an illegal U-turn on the Turnpike, last week.

On August 12, 2025, at around 3 p.m., a semi-truck attempted an illegal U-turn on Florida’s Turnpike near mile marker 171 in Fort Pierce as the truck, traveling north in the outside lane, crossed all northbound lanes at an “Official Use Only” turnaround, jackknifing in the process.
A Chrysler Town & Country minivan, traveling north in the inside lane, collided with the trailer and became wedged underneath and the crash occurred 18 miles north of the Fort Pierce exit, causing all northbound lanes to close for several hours.

On August 12, a truck accident in St. Lucie County had claimed three lives. The man behind the fatal accident is now identified as Harjinder Singh, who is allegedly an Indian-origin Sikh truck driver. As per media reports, the man took an illegal U-turn, resulting in a fatal collision, which led to the death of three people.
Later, the authorities apprehended the perpetrator in the tragic accident and identified him. Currently, Singh is charged with three counts of vehicular homicide. As per media reports, the man responsible behind the fatal accident had entered the U.S. illegally.
As per a statement by FLHSMV, the tragic incident involved a collision between a mini-van, and a commercial semi-truck and trailer. A video of the collision is now making waves online, leaving people in distress.
What Did the Viral Video Feature?
The viral video of the tragic accident features Harjinder Singh driving recklessly and forcefully trying to execute a hard left turn across the highway to cross through an “official use only” pass. His reckless behavior led to his trailer blocking the oncoming traffic’s path and ended up in a collision with a black mini-van coming towards his vehicle.
At the time of writing this piece, the authorities haven’t released the identity of the victims in the tragic fatal accident. However, local media reported their identities as a 37-year-old woman, 30-year-old Florida based man, and a 54-year-old Miami-based man. All of these passengers were traveling via Black mini-van, that collided with Harjinder Singh’s truck.
The minivan’s driver, a 30-year-old man from Florida City, was airlifted to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital, where he died while the two passengers, a 37-year-old woman from Pompano Beach and a 54-year-old man from Miami, were pronounced dead at the scene.

With the help of ICE officials, and state troopers, the officials were able to find out that Harjinder Singh who is an illegal immigrant, entered the States illegally via crossing the Mexico border in 2018. As per the counts given by the officials, Harjinder Singh is now facing deportation and in the strict action against him as he had been present in the country as an “illegal migrant.” He will serve his sentence in Florida if found guilty before being deported to his original country.
Singh’s commercial driver’s license was obtained in California where he was said to be based.
While Harjinder’s country of origin hasn’t been revealed yet, he could be of Indian origin from Punjab as he’s a Sikh by religion.
Claims went viral across social media suggesting that the two occupants of the semi-truck-trailer, including the driver, who are 25 and 28-years-old, didn’t sustain any injuries in the crash.
