Identity of the Perpetrators
Although, at the time of writing this article, the authorities haven’t revealed the identity of these 9 teenagers, however, media reports claim that among these arrested people, is the girlfriend of Dean Wright, Giann Kistenmacher, who is charged with being an accessory to his murder.
She brought Raper to meet Wright and instigate a confrontation. Kistenmacher knew Raper was armed.

Devan Raper, 19, pulled the trigger in what was a premeditated setup over teenage jealousy.
Authorities say 8 others, including girlfriend Giann Kistenmacher, played a role in baiting Trey to the scene knowing Raper had a gun and was also making death threats.
For context, earlier, on June 24, a body was found with multiple gunshot wounds on First Neck Road in Florence County, which is approximately 45 miles west of Myrtle Beach. Later, the authorities identified the body as Trey Dean Wright, a teenager, who hailed from South Carolina.
Furthermore, media reports claim that a 19-year-old, who hailed from Conway, identified as Devan Scott Raper, is behind the shooting, and that the shooting is the result of an escalated argument over a girl. Following the discovery of the dead body and identification, the Sheriff Office of Florence County arrested Devan Scott Raper.
Among the others who were charged are 18-year-olds Corrine Belviso and Hunter Kendall, and 17-year-old Sydney Kearns but the four other suspects have not been identified. A tenth suspect is also expected to turn themselves in soon.
Raper has meanwhile been charged with homicide and possession of a weapon.

As per the counts given by authorities, they believe that Devan Scott Raper didn’t act alone in the murder of Wright, and while investigating the matter, the Sheriff’s office made eight more arrest in the murder case. These 9 teenagers are charged with setting up Trey Dean Wright, and recording a video of his death.
About Trey Dean Wright
While not much is known about the teenager, however, as per a GoFundMe page set up by age 16 Trey Dean Wright’s family, the teen was “a kind soul who touched so many lives.” His online obituary reveals his parents name are Richard Dean Wright and Ashley Nicole Lindsey.
Trey Dean Wright, 16, of Scranton, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence and he was born on October 9, 2008, in Hartsville.
Trey is survived by his loving mother, Ashley Nicole Lindsey (Bo Creel); his father, Richard Dean Wright; and his brother, Blaze Bramlette and is also survived by his special cousins “his boys”—Connar McKenzie, Brayden McKenzie, Coewen McKenzie, and Amiah McKenzie; and his “twin brothers,” Aiden Hanna, Ethan Kirby, Jayden Lauderback, Jasmine Lauderback, Noah Stone, Landon Eaddy, Jade Hutchinson, Booty Hutchinson, Colt Daniels and Peyton McDaniel.
He leaves behind grandparents, Catherine McKenzie (Terry Higginbotham), Mema and Grams, Helen and Lanny Thompson, and Brenda Gore. Trey is also survived by many loving aunts and uncles: Jerry & Alicia Lauderback, Tabitha and Bobby Atkinson, Reva and Chad Gibbs, Skylar Avin, Angela Truett, Erin McDaniel (Kami & Khloe), Angie and Chad Altman, Terry McKenzie, Dale McKenzie, Chris McKenzie, Ronnie McKenzie, Jerry McKenzie, Devin Higginbotham (Christin) and a special uncle, Randall Miller.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ella Wright; great-grandmother, Leslie Hill; uncles, Britt McKenzie and Alston Hanna; aunt, Jennifer McKenzie; and friend, Jurel Doctorr.
As per his online obituary, Wright was a sophomore student at Johnsonville High School. He was a versatile athlete, who used to play both football and baseball. Apart from his studies, the teenager used to work at Vox Deer Processing.
According to the obituary, “A rising sophomore at Johnsonville High School, Trey was a proud varsity athlete, playing both football and baseball. He was a true outdoorsman who loved riding dirt bikes, spending time in nature, and living life to the fullest. Known for his infectious smile and ability to make everyone laugh, Trey was the kind of person who left a lasting impression on those around him. In addition to his studies and sports, Trey worked at Vox Deer Processing.”
Wright’s mother, Ashley Lindsey, told the media, “I don’t even have time to sit down and think half the time, on top of losing my precious baby”. Sheriff TJ Joye said the case was over a female, adding that Raper is “going to be in jail the rest of his life. Over what?”
Those are people without souls. The death that they created against an innocent man has consequences both in this life and beyond.
