While, there isn’t much information about available about Gautam Singh Jaat, as he recently rose to fame after his America Kya Kehta Tha Kya Ho Tum viral reel and became infamous as a viral blind BJP logicless supporter or as an andh bhakt, term given to BJP supporters who blindly support the party and give bemusing reasons for their support. As per his Instagram account, which goes by the name @gaut_am009 describes himself as an “Artist.”
While some social media posts had claimed he was no longer a BJP supporter as per his Instagram bio which now read ex-BJP supporter, his bio doesn’t include any such claim. He also goes to the Delhi University.

The viral meme came from a video, which is approximately 40-seconds long, and has taken over the internet like a blaze. The meme came into the limelight in May 2025, from a random interview, wherein Gautam Singh Jaat can be heard saying “America kya kehta tha – kya ho tum, translated to ‘What did America say – what are you.’”
He furthermore added “Aaj ham kehte hai – tu kya hai be, ham hai, translated to ‘Today we say – what are you, we are,’” as the crowd behind him jeered as they seem to be cheering for him.

He additionally continues saying and remarking things as it seems he is taking a jab at the Opposition, as he says, “2014 se pahle hmari foz intejaar karti thi – arrey sir mar rahe hain. Order de de hame, maar rahe hain, ham kya kare?, translated to ‘“Before 2014, our army used to wait – Sir, they are dying. Give us the order, they are killing us, what should we do?’”
