Remember earlier reports emerged suggesting that a woman had entered into Harrisburg’s Kipona Festival and was charged for the same? She has now been identified by the officials as 37 year old Elizabeth Bohrer.

What Exactly Happened?

For the unversed, earlier reports surfaced revealing that a vehicle drove into Kipona Festival in Harrisburg, and injured at least 3 people. The woman, is now identified as age 37 Elizabeth Ann Bohrer hails from York Haven.

The tragic incident that injured three people occurred on Monday evening, when a woman drove a minivan into the crowded place. The tragic situation unfolded at around 6:00 P.M. As per authorities, the injured victims are identified as a 6-year-old child, a woman in a wheelchair, and a public work employee.

Charges Against Elizabeth Ann Bohrer

As per reports, Elizabeth Ann Bohrer is facing multiple charges, including three counts of aggravated assault by a vehicle, alongside aggravated assault by a vehicle while driving under the influence, recklessly endangering another person, aggravated assault with a victim less than 13, and driving on the sidewalk.

As per media reports, 37-year-old Elizabeth Bohrer drove six blocks in her red minivan before hitting objects which stopped her. Subsequently, thereafter the authorities come in to apprehend her.

Who is Elizabeth Bohrer?

As per counts given by Fran Chardo, who is a District Attorney of Dauphin County, age 37 Elizabeth Ann Bohrer of York Haven, who was born in 1988, was first rushed to a nearby hospital, before being transferred to the detention center. Meanwhile, the District Attorney also revealed that an investigation is being carried out to see whether any additional charges can be used against her.

Earlier, in a statement, a spokesperson from the City of Harrisburg, revealed that the woman was driving alone, while adding that they don’t believe that the incident was deliberate or “intentional.”

What Did the Authorities Say?

As per the police officials, when they apprehended the woman, she showed signs of impairment when she was being held and taken by the investigators. The arresting officer revealed that the driver of the tragic incident was seemingly “out of it,” while remarking that Bohrer gave “verbal and visual indicators,” that was under the influence of something.

Meanwhile, as per the counts given by witnesses, during the third and final day of Kipona festival, near Forster and North Front streets, the driver drove inside after veering around the festival barriers before re-entering the streets, and plunging through the crowds.
