As per reports, days before her arrest, the cheerleader had shared a post on the video-sharing platform TikTok as she revealed one of her life goals was to have a child. The now-viral post, which she shared on June 25, also revealed some of her aspirations, including getting married and owning a property under her name.

Her post that features her dream of having a child has sparked widespread fury and outrage as netizens are angrily commenting and sharing the post, especially after knowing the fact that she allegedly killed her own child and hid her body in a closet.
Reportedly, Laken Snelling is accused of abusing a corpse, meddling with physical evidence, and hiding the birth of her child.
Cause of Infant’s Death
At the time of writing this article, there isn’t any information revealing the cause of child’s death, however, rumors claim that Laken Snelling might’ve killed the baby. Meanwhile, the authorities haven’t commented regarding the child’s death and its cause. Though, they did reveal that they had been called at 400 block of Park Avenue on Wednesday morning.

As per counts given by Lexington Police Department, they received a call about an unconscious baby. Furthermore, they hinted that after they reached the destination at the Park Avenue at around 10:30 A.M., they found the child dead.
After their brief talk with the Kentucky cheerleader, she “admitted to concealing,” the birth of the child as she had already cleaned up any birth related evidence, and had put all the items inside a black trash bag, including “the infant, who was wrapped in a towel.”

Where is Laken Snelling Now?
Following her arrest, Laken Snelling was immediately taken to the Fayette County Detention Center. However, the woman paid a bond of $100,000 on Tuesday, September 2. She is currently on “home incarceration,” with no ankle monitor, reportedly at her parents’ home, which is located in Tennessee. During her recent hearing, the cheerleader pleaded not guilty while paying the bond, and her next court date set for September 26, 2025.
Who is Laken Snelling?
Her real name is Laken Ashlee Snelling, and she has been a part of Kentucky’s STUNT team for the past three seasons, suggesting she was a student-athlete at the college. A quick glance at her TikTok reveals that she is in a relationship, as she shared a series of pictures in June 2025, under the hashtag ‘#couplesphotography.’
