Earlier, reports surfaced revealing that a teenager from Maryvale High School is accused of fatally stabbing another student in a classroom on August 19. The student, who is identified as Chris Aguilar, has been charged with second-degree murder, as per the court documents.

What Did Reports Reveal?

As per the official documents, Chris Aguilar has a $500,00 cash-only bound set and is booked into jail for second-degree murder.

The suspect, Chris Aguilar, 16, is facing charges for the death of Michael Montoya II, who was also 16 and was rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where he later died.

Aguilar had a folding 4-inch pocketknife that he reportedly brought onto campus.

The police officials of Phoenix responded to an emergency call at about 10:54 a.m. Following receiving the call regarding the stabbing, the authorities located a boy with multiple stab wounds.

The child was instantly rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital, wherein he was pronounced dead. The authorities identified him as Michael Montoya II.

Additionally, court documents revealed that they detained Chris Aguilar before taking him to Maryvale Hospital to treat a cut on his right hand. Furthermore, the documents suggested that a school resource officer collected a four-inch folding knife that had Chris Aguilar’s name engraved on its handle. They placed the evidence in the principal’s office.

What Did the Witnesses Reveal?

The two boys met up the day before the stabbing and one witness said that Aguilar and his twin brother made statements to murder the victim after the robbery of a firearm.

Multiple eyewitnesses told the officials that the 16-year-old Montoya had robbed Chris Aguilar of a firearm, while also giving the counts that Aguilar and his brother were planning to kill him, after the alleged robbery.

As per media reports, two teachers also witnessed the alleged stabbing. Reportedly, the teachers described Chris Aguilar as the aggressive one and hinted that the victim couldn’t even defend himself against the teenager.

A girl, who usually sat in front of Aguilar, gave her counts and revealed that normally Chris sat behind her in class, but he sat beside the victim the day they fought and Aguilar punched him multiple times. The girl described then that after throwing punches at Montoya, he pulled out a pocketknife and stabbed him at least thrice.

Another student revealed that he saw everything while sitting at a table, and that Aguilar stabbed the victim, even though he tried to flee, however, he ended up falling onto the ground and even then Aguilar continued with the stabbing. Additionally, the witness revealed that Chris Aguilar fleeing the scene after assaulting Montoya, while the witness used the victim’s phone to make a 911 call.

Where is Chris Aguilar Now?

As per media reports, after being released from the hospital, Chris Aguilar was taken to the police headquarters, where the culprit asked for his parents. Following the arrival of his parents, the teenager told the authorities that he did not wish to speak to anyone and that he wants to see his attorney.
