Michigan Office Depot facing intense backlash and boycott calls
Renowned Republican attorney Matthew DePerno publicized the incident, claiming that the store canceled the order hours right before a planned vigil. DePerno stated that the Kalamazoo County GOP placed the order at around 2:24 p.m. Friday at the Portage, MI, Office Depot store. Just three hours later, one of the print supervisors, identified as “Beryl,” allegedly called and canceled the request. Vigil organizers then accused the company of censorship, with DePerno sharing the receipt and video of the entire incident on X. The GOP group ultimately turned to FedEx, which printed the poster free of charge.
