Officials have confirmed that Pough was immediately placed on administrative leave after the agency launched a formal investigation.

Secret Service agent Anthony Pough put on immediate leave
A Secret Service spokesperson on Friday confirmed that the agency put Anthony Pugh on immediate leave just hours after learning about Pough’s online comments. The spokesperson stated:
“The U.S. Secret Service will not tolerate behavior that violates our code of conduct.”
The spokesperson further added that Pough had been placed on administrative leave while investigators review his conduct. According to reports, Pough is still in “Phase 2” of his training, which is a stage focused on protective assignments but not yet part of the presidential detail.

Secret Service agent Anthony Pough recently made some inflammatory posts on Facebook shortly after Charlie Kirk’s assassination in Utah. He accused Kirk of “spewing hate and racism” and even went on to tell mourners to “delete” him if they felt sympathy.
