On Tuesday, Senator Cory Booker revealed that he is engaged to his long-time girlfriend, Alexis Lewis, sparking a widespread debate as netizens pointed out how the now-fiancée of the 56-year-old politician bears an uncanny resemblance to his ex, Rosario Dawson.

Taking to his Instagram, which goes by the name @corybooker, which has garnered more than 2 million followers, age 56 Cory shared a post, captioning it as, “I’m thrilled to share: Alexis and I are engaged!” The viral-post has so far have received 293K likes, and more than 12K comments. As per media reports, the United States Senator has been dating Alexis Lewis for about a year and a half, and the two reportedly live in Washington, D.C.

Who is Alexis Lewis?
For the addled, Alexis Lewis is reported to be serving in a real estate investment firm. While there isn’t much information about her, as she likes to keep her personal life private, however, the two met in May 2024, on a blind date arranged by one of their mutual friends, at around 16 months ago.
As per media reports, Alexis Lewis is an alumnus of the Sidwell Friends School. She went to the New York University, and earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing. To pursue her higher studies, she went to the SC Johnson College of Business of Cornell University and got enrolled in an MBA in Hospitality and Real Estate Development.
Lewis currently serves as Senior Vice President of Investments at Brasa Capital Management and previously worked as the Economic Policy Manager for the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office of Economic Development. She helped drive commercial development in South LA and co-led the Mayor’s Evolve Entertainment Fund, a partnership blending public and private efforts to boost the local scene.
During his appearance on The Shade Room, Booker confirmed that she works as a real estate agent.
“We were fixed up by a friend,” he revealed . “I at first said, ‘No,’ I was not interested,’ because she lives in L.A. and I live in New Jersey and D.C.”
Booker added, “Her family grew up in D.C., so it made it a lot easier.”

Cory Booker is the current U.S. Senator from New Jersey, a seat he held since assuming in 2013.
