An all-night manhunt for Aaron L Sharp accused of shooting a total of four people, including two East Cleveland Police officers ended with the suspect being captured alive around 8:30 Friday morning after the police were called out to a home in the 1900 block of North Taylor Rd. around 11 p.m. Thursday for a domestic dispute.

East Cleveland suspect Aaron L. Sharp arrested after all-out manhunt
Officers in Cleveland recently managed to arrest Aaron L. Sharp, who is the main suspect in the tragic shootout that left two civilians killed and two officers injured. Authorities managed to find him and arrested him without further incident at around 8:30 a.m. in the 1800 block of Sheldon Avenue. Prior to the arrest, Authorities carried out an intense and violent 9-hour ordeal.
Following the arrest, law enforcement officials confirmed that they knew him and that they had dealt with him in prior incidents. The intense manhunt started after Sharp allegedly opened fire on East Cleveland police officers who were responding to a domestic dispute on North Taylor Road just before 11 p.m. Thursday. He first shot officer Joshua Durda, outside the home, following which he shot officer Brandon Hernandez on Euclid Avenue near North Taylor Road at around 1 a.m.
Authorities later confirmed that Aaron killed the two people inside the North Taylor Road home, while leaving the two officers injured. The two officers are now in a stable condition and recovering in the University Hospital.
Officer Hernandez, 37 has been on the force since December 2024 and Officer Durda also 37 has been on the force full time since March 2023 and was an auxiliary officer from June 2016 to November 2019. The names of the two deceased victims haven’t been revealed yet.

Aaron L. Sharp is currently facing multiple charges, including the suspected murders of two individuals and the attempted murders of two officers. Investigators are currently working to determine the full sequence of events and any potential motives behind the cause of the attack. The case drew major attention for its brutality and also experienced a massive and rapid law enforcement response.

Aaron L. Sharp is a 24-year-old East Cleveland resident who was recently identified and arrested as the main suspect in the fatal shooting that killed two individuals and injured two police officers. According to reports, Aaron was born on August 8, 2001, and his birthday was on the same day that he got arrested following the manhunt. Aaron reportedly has a known history of prior interactions with local police. Besides that, there is not much information available about his upbringing or employment.
