Nana Leme Da Silva becomes first 2010-born player to win WTA match

Da Silva recently made history by becoming the first-ever 2010-born player to win a WTA match after earning a wildcard into the SP Open. Despite dropping the opening set in a tie-break, Da Silva fought back to win 6-7 (0), 6-2, 6-0 against fellow compatriot Carolina Alves in the first round. Following the win, she will now face a second-round clash with Argentina’s Solana Sierra, the world No. 82 and No. 2 seed.

Nana Leme Da Silva, full name Nauhany Vitória Leme Da Silva, is a young tennis prodigy who was born on March 13, 2010. She goes by the name Nana on tour, and she was born and raised in Brazil. Over the last few years, she has quickly become one of the brightest prospects in women’s tennis. Nana is known for her quick composure and powerful baseline game, and her recent win has put her on the map.

Nana Leme Da Silva is currently just 15 years old as of 2025, and she stands around 5 feet 6 inches (168 cm).

Career and achievements

Nana Leme Da Silva is a young and upcoming tennis star who has already made waves on both the junior and professional tours. She competed in all four junior Grand Slams in 2025 and reached the third round at Wimbledon. On the ITF Junior Circuit, Nana has collected several titles, including the J200 Asunción (2025), J200 Santa Cruz (2024), J60 Itajaí, and J30 Guatemala (both in 2023). Her recent win in São Paulo has vaulted her up the WTA Live Rankings by over 400 spots. Nana is now inside the top 800 for the first time in her career.
