Philipp Navratil appointed as new Nestlé CEO after Laurent Freixe’s sacking
Nestlé have officially appointed Philipp Navratil as its new CEO after recently firing Laurent Freixe for violating the company’s Code of Business Conduct. According to reports, the board acted decisively following an investigation into Freixe’s undisclosed relationship with a subordinate. Following the changes, Chairman Paul Bulcke emphasized that the move was unavoidable, and stated:
“This was a necessary decision. Nestlé’s values and governance are strong foundations of our company. I thank Laurent for his years of service at Nestlé.”
Navratil, was already serving on Nestlé’s Executive Board and heading Nespresso, and he will now lead the company’s global operations.

Navratil grew up in Switzerland and spent most of his professional life at Nestlé, steadily working his way up the corporate ladder.
