The speculation came up after FBI agents examined Robinson’s digital communications for evidence.
The roommate and alleged partner of Tyler Robinson who shot Charlie Kirk has been identified as transgender, 22-year-old Lance S. Twiggs. The two shared an apartment in St. George, Utah.

Several news outlets recently reported that the Charlie Kirk shooter, Tyler Robinson, was living with a transgender partner named Lance Twiggs who is now cooperating with the FBI. According to the sources, the reports came up after authorities investigated their texts and private communications. Meanwhile, Fox News’ Brooke Singman also backed that claim on X, stating that her sources confirmed the FBI relied on those exchanges to link Robinson to the crime. Interestingly, Newsmax host Rob Schmitt went a step further and claimed that former President Trump told him the “Kirk assassin has a trans girlfriend.”

Despite the wave of media reports and accusations, federal investigators have not publicly confirmed whether Robinson had a transgender partner. As of now, the FBI also remains tight-lipped about the situation, releasing no official statement about his personal relationships but many claim that Tyler and Lance were dating for one year with a relative of Twiggs saying that he is Robinson’s boyfriend. “They did live together,” the family member said, adding, “ I knew he had a boyfriend. I never met him. None of us had.”
A neighbor of Tyler has meanwhile also come out saying he saw Tyler and Lance together holding hands and kissing to all but confirm the two were dating.
Twiggs was in the process of transitioning from male to female and the 22-year-old is an aspiring professional gamer and was living with Tyler Robinson as a roommate. Twiggs comes from a conservative Christian family in Utah and is transitioning from male to female.
Twiggs has also been described as a furry online owing to Tyler’s furry fixation as seen by the engraving found on the side of the casing of his rifle which read “Notices bulge OwO what’s this?” which is a meme that is widely used in both pro-transgender s*x and furry subcultures.
Furry is part of the furry subculture, which is described as having a s*xual interest in anthropomorphic animal characters who are animals with human traits with people who associate with them called furries.
Twiggs has been described as furry and Tyler’s ‘notices bulge” is a reference to male s*x organs and is used in both furry and trans circles.
An account on the website FurAffinity.net, which has se*xualized images of cartoon animal characters, features an account name matching one that Robinson used on his gaming and online accounts.
Is Lance Twiggs the transgender partner?
Amidst the accusations, some news outlets have identified Robinson’s roommate, 22-year-old Lance Twiggs, as the person who provided evidence that led to Robinson’s arrest. However, there is no proper confirmation about whether Lance Twiggs is indeed Tyler Robinson’s “transgender partner.”
Notably, Lance Twiggs is a known transgender, but upon reaching out to his grandfather, Jerry, he stated:
“I don’t want to comment on that. I’m not sure what his situation is exactly right now.”
Meanwhile, another family member described Twiggs as the “black sheep” of the family but refused to discuss or confirm whether he was in a romantic relationship with Tyler Robinson. However, according to multiple reports, both Tyler and Lance had been dating since the last year.
