Fact Check: Is Silas Kruger Behind the Deadly CDC Shooting?
After the claims went viral online that Silas Kruger is behind the deadly shooting, his parents came forward as they addressed the viral rumors. As per Kruger’s mother, Silas Kruger isn’t behind CDC shooting incident.
In her statement, Kruger’s mother stated that her son has been harassed by people online, but they “live in Canada,” while adding that people have been spreading “false information about him for years.”
Additionally, earlier, the authorities revealed that the suspect in the case passed way alongside a police officer following the deadly shooting at the scene. Reportedly, no civilians have been harmed.

About Silas Kruger
Though, at the time of writing this piece, there isn’t much information available about the student, however, media reports hinted that he is the son of a widely known contractor, who reportedly has more than 2.9 million followers on his social media account.
The Instagram account which goes by the name @Krugerconstruction, and features several of Silas Kruger’s photos, earlier posted a story on their profile, where Murray Kruger, the father of Silas, addressed the situation.
What Did Murray Kruger Say?
In his post on Instagram, the digital creator and a contractor can be heard saying that “Silas, our son was not involved with anything down in Georgia at the tragedy at the Emery University.” Additionally, he added that “We’re in Canada. Um Silas was at work all day today. He’s as surprised as I am.”

Later, Kruger shared a few more stories, wherein he opened up how his son had been suffering trolling and harassment for years. Furthermore, in one of his stories, the internet personality revealed that he “was on the phone with Atlanta police cyber unit for a long time,” while adding that “they are taking this very serious and getting others involved.”
In addition, Kruger also requested people that if anyone sees “these posts about our son on any platform could you leave a comment saying it’s a false news and report it.”
As of now, the exact motive behind the shooting remains unknown, as investigators have yet to release the suspect’s identity or the exact circumstances that led to the attack. Officials are currently reviewing security footage, interviewing witnesses, and asking the public for any kind of information related to the gunman.
The suspect who is dead is believed to have been motivated by a belief that he fell ill due to the COVID-19 vaccine and targeted the CDC due to it.
