As aforesaid, reports emerged earlier online, claiming that a pediatric resident of the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, Dr. Alyssa Rose Lillian, passed away, as per a post shared by her father Joe Lillian. Though, her father didn’t reveal the reason behind her death.
After the news of Dr. Alyssa Rose Lillian’s passing came to the spotlight, many took to social media sites as they wondered what happened to the pediatric resident. Meanwhile, many wondered more about her.
Who is Dr. Alyssa Rose Lillian?
As per her official Obituary, Dr. Alyssa Rose Lillian was born on April 29, 1997, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to Joseph and Leslie Lillian. She was a second-year pediatric residence at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
Growing up in East Brunswick, NJ. Lillian went to East Brunswick, High School. Later, she went to American University to pursue higher studies, and then New Jersey Medical School.
Lillian, who was likely more than halfway through her residence training, as the official site of Johns Hopkins Medicine reveals that the residency of pediatrics provide training for at least three years, was a devoted partner of Isaac Pryzant.

Her training was the combination of both medical genetics and general pediatrics. As per reports, Her funeral services were held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Funeral Directors Inc.
Her family created funds in Lillian’s name titled as ‘The Rose Fund,’ and so far, they have raised approximately $30,195. While their goal is to raise $100,000 fund by August 31, 2025. These funds are reportedly being raised to support programs directly that helps in healing comforting children and their families.
Cause of Death
As aforementioned, so far, there isn’t any update regarding the reason behind Dr. Alyssa Rose Lillian’s untimely death. As per her obituary page, she passed away “peacefully at her residence in Baltimore,” hinting that the pediatric trainer didn’t have any underlying health issues.
Alyssa’s dad shared his Facebook post about his daughter’s death writing, “Alyssa was a remarkable young woman who dedicated her life to helping others. Her passion, intelligence, dedication, and unwavering kindness touched so many lives.”
