Nick Tenconi recently appeared at an anti-migrant demonstration on August 8, 2025, in Portsmouth. However, video footage of the event showed him making a gesture that observers, including Hope not Hate, compared to a Nazi salute. Following the accusations, the internet has been sparked with all kinds of backlash from netizens. Tenconi and Turning Point UK have since come out and dismissed the comparison as a “ridiculous smear.” He emphasized that the UKIP stands “wholeheartedly against the far-right and Nazism.”

Nick Marcel Tenconi is a British politician who was born on March 29, 1984, and he is currently 41-years-old. He started out his career as a self-employed personal trainer, running a lifestyle coaching business based in Reading. However, in 2023, Nick gained public recognition for personally delivering aid to Ukraine. He soon became known for his outspoken views and activism and has built a strong reputation for organizing street demonstrations and participating in vocal counter-protests.

Political career
Nick Tenconi started out his political career with the UKIP, ascending rapidly in the party hierarchy. He eventually became the party’s deputy leader in May 2024 and then stepped in as the party’s interim leader on June 16, 2024, after Lois Perry’s resignation. After serving as the interim leader, Tenconi became the official UKIP party leader on February 5, 2025.
As the leader of the UKIP, and COO of Turning Point UK, Tenconi has orchestrated all kinds of demonstrations against drag queen events and counter-protests targeting Palestine solidarity marches. He has also initiated alliances with controversial right-wing activists, including Tommy Robinson and Calvin Robinson.
