Earlier, the child, who went missing at Hersheypark around 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, ended up being on the monorail track, after he allegedly entered the closed and secured monorail station, before venturing onto the tracks.
However, he was reunited with his family safely, thanks to the brave man, Sampson and his quick thinking and judgement, within just 20-23 minutes. In their statement, Hersheypark said they are still reviewing how the child were able to get into the secured and closed area.
The monorail was not running at the time of the incident and was safeguarded by a chained closure at the entrance and barricaded turnstile at the platform with the lost boy spending 20 minutes there after getting lost before venturing onto the monorails.
