Jade Damarell, an experienced skydiver is creating headlines after reports surfaced revealing that the 32-year-old passed away untimely. Earlier, reports surfaced online claiming that a 32-year-old experienced parachutist died after crashing onto farmland on April 27, 2025.
Jade was not only a skydiver by a marketing manager as well and was an experienced parachutist with her dying after crashing onto farmland in Shotton Colliery, Co Durham.

What Exactly Happened?
As per media reports, hours before the tragic development, Jade Damarell broke up with her boyfriend. Reports suggest that the woman, who fell to her death from 15,500 ft, had more than 400 jumps to her name.
The tragic incident took place in Shotton Colliery, Co Durham, when neither her parachute, nor her reserve one were deployed. Following the skydiving, Jade struck the ground at a speed of up to 120mph with her dying from blunt trauma injuries.
As per reports, Jade, who hailed from Caerphilly, Wales, but, was born in Hong Kong, successfully carried out at least 6 skydives the day before.
What Did the Authorities Say?
As per the counts given by Coroner Dr Leslie Hamilton, the investigators ruled the cause of death as suicide. Additionally, various social media platforms, claim that the woman left notes for her family, and left us all in the early hours of April 27. She also left behind her passwords for her financial accounts for her family and a message “apologising and thanking them for their support”.
The woman had recently split from her boyfriend, age 26 Ben Goodfellow, who is identified as a car technician and a musician and was a skydiver just like his ex-girlfriend with the two meeting due to their shared love of skydiving. The two had dated for eight months before breaking up. While in front of judge, the Coroner Dr Leslie Hamilton revealed that Jade and Ben had split just the night before she committed suicide and this was believed to be the reason behind her decision.

Jade’s devastated mum Liz Samuels honored her daughter after the tragedy by taking part in her own skydive. Earlier, in a statement, the family of the skydiver paid their tributes, as they could be seen saying “Skydiving and its fantastic community meant so much to Jade,” before commenting that she was an incredible and respected person, and how deeply loved and admired she was.
