Deputies discovered the family members dead from gunshot wounds inside their home on Sable Court after deputies had been called to the home for a welfare check by a relative.
As per media reports, age 44 Kenneth Smith Jr of Daphne, Alabama, is suspected to have killed his 41-year-old wife, identified as Larrica Gaines Smith, 15 -year-old Kristian Smith, and 11-year-old Kensley Smith before shooting himself dead. The Sheriff Anthony Lowery of Baldwin County confirmed the shooting.
As per counts given by Sheriff Lowery, the heartbreaking shooting took place in Daphne, Alabama, on Thursday morning.

What Did Authorities Reveal?
The investigators discovered the dead family members inside their home on Sable court. According to them, the family members seemed to have had died from gunshot wounds. The authorities were called in for a welfare checkup by a relative of Kenneth Smith Jr.
Earlier, while conversing with the media, Sheriff Lowery revealed that they had already thought that “this is going to be a multiple murder and suicide scene.” He further described the incident as “tragic as it comes.”

What Did Kenneth Smith Jr’s Neighbor Say?
One neighbor of Kenneth Smith Jr., who doesn’t like her name to be out in the public said, “She just told me they celebrated their wedding anniversary two weeks ago,” while adding that the woman was really happy about it. Furthermore, the neighbor added, “so I just don’t understand, I don’t understand how this could happen.”
Another one added, “to see a family gone just like that … is awful.” For the curious, the children of Kenneth Smith Jr., were studying at Daphne East Elementary School, and Daphne High School. The investigators suggested that a counsellor will be made available for the school’s staff and students.
