Earlier, reports surfaced claiming that a man identified as Sean Charles Dunn, threw a subway sandwich at a federal agent at approximately 11:06 PM in the chest.
While being processed at Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District, Dunn told MTP Officer Gurkaranjot Thandi, ‘I did it. I threw a sandwich.’”

A 37-year-old man was arrested in Washington, D.C., after he allegedly threw a subway sandwich at a CBP offer, short for US Customs and Border Protection. The incident took place during a protest against the increased federal law enforcement, on August 10 at around 11:00 p.m.
Sean Charles Dunn, who was caught on camera doing the act, admitted to his crime, after a video of the incident went viral across social media platforms. Currently, Dunn is facing charges of felony assault and hasn’t entered a plea nor he has secured any legal representative.

What Did the Complaint Reveal?
As per the official complaint, Dunn approached the US Customs and Border Protection officer, who at the time was patrolling the area with Metro transit police, and began yelling, “F**ck you. You f**ck fascists. Why are you here? I don’t want you in my city.”
Furthermore, the complaint reveals that Dunn crossed the street, and got within inches of officer’s face, and then ‘forcefully,’ threw a sandwich at him, hitting at officer’s chest. Following the act, the man tried to flee the scene, however, he was apprehended by the authorities and upon reaching the police station, he allegedly admitted to his crime, as he said, “I did it. I threw the sandwich.”

Charges Against Sean Charles Dunn
As per the official complaint, Sean Charles Dunn currently faces charges of assaulting a federal officer alongside charges of resisting or impeding the federal officer.
For context, the increase in federal law enforcement in Washington, D.C., took place after President Donald Trump announced a public safety emergency in the area, citing a rise in crime as a reason. After the announcement of the President, more than 1,600 federal officers alongside National guard troops were deployed to the city.
