The Knox County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in North Knox County around 4:15 p.m. Friday for a domestic dispute and court records show the victim called 911 after they got into a fight outside the victim’s home that led to Whitehorn kicking in the front and bedroom doors.

Whitehorn was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
The Isaacs Law Firm, which represents Whitehorn, released a statement saying, “Our firm has been retained to represent Ruby Whitehorn regarding her recent charges. Ms. Whitehorn intends to enter a plea of not guilty at her arraignment because she is, in fact, not guilty.”

On Friday, August 8, authorities in Knox County took Tennessee Lady Vols star Ruby Whitehorn into custody in response to a domestic dispute at around 4:18pm. Whitehorn, who is currently a junior guard for the team, got arrested following an altercation in the residence’s parking lot. According to reports, Whitehorn allegedly chased the victim into her house and forcibly kicked the door open to retrieve her possessions.
Charges and allegations
Following the arrest, Ruby Whitehorn is now facing two felony charges: domestic assault and aggravated burglary. According to the alleged victim, Whitehorn threatened her safety and broke into her home out of anger. The incident reportedly sparked off over a dispute involving personal property, specifically Whitehorn’s passport, which she claims that the alleged victim had taken without consent.

According to the official police report, neither Whitehorn nor the alleged victim showed visible injuries during the incident. Furthermore, the police determined that Whitehorn was the primary aggressor based on video evidence that the alleged victim provided. According to the official statement:
[The victim] in complete fear that Ruby was going to harm her while she was inside the house.”
Meanwhile, Whitehorn continues to state that she was attacked first and needed to protect herself. However, the case hinges on surveillance and other video material, and she is scheduled to appear before the court on August 12 at 8:30am.
