Social media platforms, especially Instagram, X/Twitter, and Reddit, have been buzzing with a viral rumor that Makeover Yash, real name Yashu Singh passed away on August 7, 2025.
Has Content Creator Makeover Yash Really Passed Away?
For the unsure, the makeup artist, who has approximately 536K followers on the reel-sharing platform, Instagram, wherein he goes by the name @makeover_yash, has left for his heavenly abode, as confirmed by his sister.

Taking to photo-sharing platform, Instagram, Yash’s sister, Chrimiti Singh, on Instagram @chirmiti_singh, who also has approximately 54.8K followers, shared a post tagging Yashu’s account. The viral post which so far have received 285,634 likes, features a series of images and videos of Yashu Singh, having text that read, “LATE: MAKEOVER YASH… 07/08/2025.”
In addition, a video in the carousel type post, featured a pooja for the late content creator. In the third slide of the carousel, a couple seemed to be doing something, seemingly Yash’s parents. The fourth slide and afterwards show overall moment of the pooja, wherein flowers, diya and last rites of the makeup artist, Yash can be seen.
The caption of the post reads, “Dekh lo hamare bhai ko .. ye raha tumhare samne,” translating to “You can look at our brother .. he is in front of y’all.”

Cause of Death
At the time of writing this article, there isn’t any information available revealing the reason of Makeover Yash’ death. Though, his sister, in a post promised to Yashu’s fans to reveal the cause of his death and further information about the unfortunate incident in a post on August 14. However, it’s been days since the said date, and the woman doesn’t seem to have concrete to share anything so far.
Although, she did come forward and hinted that police officials are currently investigating the matter, resulting in that she can’t reveal things in details. Meanwhile, many media reports claim that the social media influencer took his own life due to online bullying, however, the official confirmation in the matter is still pending. There are also rumours that Yash was dating a guy and that they faced issues in their relationship.
The content creator had been reportedly living in Patna for the last 10 years.
