Minnesota Vikings appoints Louie Conn as new male cheerleader
The Minnesota Vikings have officially appointed Louie Conn as part of their 2025-26 cheerleading squad. His appointment comes as the team continues to press towards embracing diversity and breaking traditional norms in NFL cheerleading. Conn will join a select number of male cheerleaders in the league, and will join the Vikings alongside Blaize Shiek.

Louie Conn from Bettendorf, Iowa is a recent graduate of Iowa State University and a newly appointed male cheerleader of the Minnesota Vikings. He has a background that includes extensive experience in dance, leadership roles, communication and customer-facing jobs. Outside of cheerleading, Louie has worked in various roles like a dance instructor, server, barista, and brand promoter. While Louie Conn’s new appointment comes as a major step-up in his career, he has also received major backlash for it due to his gender.
