The viral clip, which went viral after being posted on r/LivestreamFail, showed Kelton streaming on a train in Fukuoka. In response to the incident, Kelton_g addressed the controversy on his Instagram, admitting that both sides behaved badly but insisting that he acted defensively:
“In Japan, people are very respectful and calm, but unfortunately I had to live this experience. The gentleman was rude to me and tried to hit me three times. I pushed him only to defend myself, never to hurt anyone.”
He also confirmed with his fans that Japanese police questioned him but did not press charges after reviewing the footage:
“Fortunately, everything went well, and the police understood I was just defending myself.”
