J.T. Lindsey accused of harboring 2 murder suspects
College football star J.T. Lindsey recently surrendered to law enforcement on Friday following strong accusations that he harbored two murder suspects, Shemell Jacobs (17) and Keldrick Jordan (18), in his LSU dormitory. Authorities were on the hunt for the two men for armed robbery and second-degree murder. The duo had allegedly killed a 17-year-old in May 2025, and were absconding. The U.S. Marshals Service reportedly apprehended both Jacobs and Jordan in Lindsey’s dorm on Monday.
Charges and allegations
Following his arrest, J.T. Lindsey is now charged with two counts of accessory after the fact to second-degree murder. However, he was released the same day on a $5,000 bond. According to the investigation reports, Jacobs possessed Lindsey’s school ID and used the football player’s PIN to access the dormitory. Surveillance footage of the incident also showed Lindsey with the suspects dating back to July 24.
Meanwhile, Lindsey’s lawyer, Kris Perret, has insisted that Lindsey did not know the suspects were wanted criminals and emphasized Lindsey’s innocence. According to the charges against him, Lindsey allowed the two men to stay at his apartment but did not participate in or have any connection to their alleged crimes. Lindsey is currently giving his full cooperation with the ongoing investigation.
