Jean Pormanove, whose real name was Raphaël Graven, recently passed away unexpectedly during a controversial live broadcast.
His sudden death has sparked concerns about disturbing online trends and the alleged abuse he endured on camera.
Pormanove participated in extreme challenges with streamers Naruto and Safine who used to torture and beat him and were taken into custody in January this year on suspicion of violence against vulnerable people.
Videos streamed on Kick show JP being choked, having food pushed into his mouth while being restrained and having objects thrown at him.
Raphaël Graven, known as Jean Pormanove died on Monday, August 18, in southeast France during a livestream on the Kick platform that had been running for more than 298 hours as part of a 10 day endurance challenge with an autopsy ordered to determine his cause of death.

French streamer Jean Pormanove, who was once admired for his comedy and gaming videos, recently passed away during a livestream on August 18, 2025. According to the authorities, they found him unresponsive at his home in Contes, Alpes-Maritimes. Jean’s death occurred during a disturbing broadcast featuring fellow influencers Naruto and Safine.
Sources also confirmed that Pormanove endured 10 days of physical humiliation, violence, and sleep deprivation before his sudden and tragic passing. Despite these alarming details, prosecutors in Nice have stated they have found nothing overtly suspicious at the scene. As of now, the investigations are still ongoing pending autopsy results. A video clip of the streaming has been circulating online, reportedly showing him motionless on a mattress while others attempt to wake him before the stream abruptly cuts off.
