Veena Praveenar Singh wins Miss Universe Thailand 2025
Indian-Thai model Veena Praveenar Singh has won the Miss Universe Thailand 2025 crown after coming in as second runner-up in 2018, first runner-up in 2020, and again second runner-up in 2023. She was competing for Saraburi this year and managed to captivate the judges, ultimately winning the title. She received the crown from Miss Universe 2005 Natalie Glebova, and Veena is now preparing for the global stage at Miss Universe 2025.
The upcoming pageant is set to take place in Nonthaburi, Thailand, on November 21, where Veena will compete against contestants from around the world. Following her win, Veena is now the first Thai-Indian beauty queen and the first divorced winner in over two decades.

Veena Praveenar Singh from Saraburi is a Thai beauty queen and model who was born on April 16, 1996, in Chiang Mai. She belongs to an Indian family settled in Thailand and later became a naturalized Thai citizen. Veena started out her pageant career in 2018 and achieved consecutive high placements before clinching the crown in 2025. She made history as the first married and later divorced woman to win Miss Universe Thailand. Veena actively promotes Thailand’s cultural diversity and tourism using her role as a beauty ambassador.
Praveenar who has Indian roots due to her parents origin was born in Chiang Maibefore later moving to Yala and in 2021, she was granted overseas citizenship of India by the Indian Consulate in Chiang Mai.
She had married Thai-Indian businessman Hanchareon Sing Thakral on February 2 2022, but the couple divorced in 2024.

Education
Veena Praveenar Singh completed her secondary education at Satree Yala School in Yala province, before earning a bachelor’s degree in Russian Studies at the Faculty of Liberal Art at Thammasat University, Bangkok. She speaks English, Thai, and Russian.
Career
She finished as the second runner-up in Miss Universe Thailand 2018 and was the first runner-up at Miss Universe Thailand in 2020.
In 2023, she represented Phuket in the Miss Universe Thailand pageant, where she was the second runner-up and in 2025, she competed as the winner of Miss Universe Saraburi, representing Sao Hai district.
