Kansas City Police Department Report
The Kansas City Police Department has come out to confirm that the teen involved in the assault was under 16 years old. According to official reports, police arrested the minor but later released him to his parents while continuing their investigation. Schlange is now expected to meet with authorities later this week in order to provide further statements about the incident. As of now, officials have yet to announce what kind of charges that the juvenile may face, with the incident still under active review.

Official Condemnations
Following the incident, T-Mobile Center spokesperson Shani Tate Ross described the attack as “horrific and unacceptable” and emphasized that the incident does not reflect the venue or city. Ross further added that the venue is all set to fully cooperate with police and prosecutors to ensure accountability for the attack. Meanwhile, Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas’s office also issued a condemnation, urging the public to report violent incidents from the concert. The United Center in Chicago has also canceled a scheduled NBA YoungBoy concert out of concern for safety.
