What Did the Viral Post Feature?

The viral picture, that was first shared by the photographer himself on social media, features the world No. 4 in women’s singles, peeking through the strings of her tennis racket. The picture was taken at the exact moment when the 29-year-old tennis player took a swing on Sunday at the US Open 2025.

As per a statement given by the photographer, Ray Giubilo, the picture of the tennis professional is “one of those things you cannot explain,” while remarking that the image is “impossible to recreate.” The viral picture, as of now, has received more than 84K likes, and over 1K comments.

Who is Ray Giubilo?

As per the official website of the tennis photographer, he was born in Adelaide, South Australia, however, moved to Italy, with his family when he was still 7-years-old.

In 1987, when the photographer was in his 20s, he returned back to Australia, and opened his own studio in Sydney. At the time, he began with fashion catalogues, with models and actors, who needed new pictures for their looks or assignments.

As per his website, Ray Giubilo has taken pictures in every sport, from football to sailing, motor racing, winter sports, and tennis, which as per him is his favorite sport, that he had played himself since he was a child.

The photographer began his career in tennis photography in 1989, with the Australian Open, and ever since, Giubilo has covered over 100 grand slam tournaments, and over 150 other tennis events, including ATP, and WTA matches. Additionally, he has also covered 3 Summer Olympics and 1 Winter Olympics.

His Instagram account, wherein he also shared the current viral picture of Paolini, goes by the name @raygiubilo, and has amassed more than 11.5K followers. As per his bio on the reel-sharing platform, Ray Giubilo works as the staff photographer at Tennis Italiano, which is the world’s oldest tennis magazine and has been documenting tennis excellence since 1989.
