Cause of Death
The actor who was widely recognized as ‘Advocate Dhillon,’ from ‘Carry on Jatta’ passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, at a private hospital in Mohali at the age of 65 due to a bran stroke. A family friend of Jaswinder Bhalla, Bal Mukand Sharma, revealed that he was admitted to the hospital two days ago, after a brief illness. Additionally, he revealed that the actor hadn’t feeling well for past a few days.
Meanwhile, a few media reports claim that he was hospitalized after he suffered a brain stroke. As per the counts given by the doctors, Bhalla lost a significant amount of blood. Despite all efforts to save his life, the actor passed away at around 4:00 A.M.

Last Rites
As per media reports, the last rites of Jaswinder Bhalla, will take place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Mohali. As per a report by the Economic Times, the actor was hospitalized in Fortis Hospital, Mohali. Bhalla and is survived by his wife, and two children.
Who was Jaswinder Bhalla?
Jaswinder Bhalla was an Indian actor, who mainly worked in the Punjabi film industry. Born on May 4, 1960, in Ludhiana to a primary school teacher, Master Bahadur Singh Bhalla, the actor went to the Senior Secondary School, Doraha.
As per reports, Bhalla completed a Bachelor and Master’s degree from Punjab Agricultural University, and earned a Ph.D. degree from CCSU, Meerut. He had a net worth of Rs.15-20 crore.
Wife & Children
As aforementioned, Bhalla was married to Parmdeep Bhalla, who is a Fine Arts teacher. The couple share two children together, son Pukhraj Bhalla, and daughter Ashpreet Kaur, who is married and lives in Norway.
Their son, Pukhraj, who is studying B.tech from Punjabi University, Patiala, is also an actor, and a singer. He has appeared in various Punjabi movies, after beginning his filming career in 2013, with Stupid 7 in the Punjabi industry.
He also played supporting roles in movies like Afsar, Harjeeta, Vaisakhi List, and Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua. He also made his debut in a web-series titled “Yaar Jigree Kasooti Degree.” His Instagram account, which goes by the name @pukhrajbhalla, has garnered 251K followers.
